Saffar plus Sal

Saffar + Sal is a remote collaboration between product designers Salsabeel Amin in Egypt, and Kawther Alsaffar in Kuwait. The objects they create expose the expanding opportunities provided by combining a thorough understanding of traditional craft, with technology and design. With a material-driven approach, through simple and minimal interventions in form, Saffar + Sal's work suggest an open dialogue between the digital manufacturing processes with the rough nature of the materials used.
